DescriptionGeorge Robert Harrison, a prosperous timber merchant, purchased 14 and a half acres of land facing Beecroft Road on the northwest of Murray Road in 1887. He built a brick house with a slate roof with a deep bullnose-iron roofed verandah which ran across the front and back and half the length of each side, which he named 'Ramona'.
In 1911, Harrison subdivided his land into 34 lots and called it the 'Ramona Estate'. His substantial villa 'Ramona' was left with 2 acres around it.
George Harrison and his wife moved to Strathfield in 1911 and 'Ramona' was purchased by Gustav Heumann, a city importer.LocationBeecroftDate7th October 1911AuctioneersHardie & Gorman LtdKeywordsBeecroft RoadBeecroftBoronia Avenue
