The first Broadmeadow Estate auction, consisting of approximately 60 lots of cleared land, bounded by Peats Ferry Road, Hyacinth, Bouvardia and Wattle Streets was auctioned on May 17 1913. Free transport was provided by motor car from Hornsby to the site. The auctioneer, Arthur Rickard and Co. Ltd reported seven allotments were sold at prices ranging from 18/6d to 35/- per foot (frontage). Lot 41, which included a weatherboard cottage, was sold for £200. The total sales for the seven properties amounted to £878.
In December 1914, three lots, 17, 18, and 19, sold for £23/6/8 each. Two other portions of what had originally been called the Broadmeadow Estate were released progressively under different estate names after 1913.
