He is remembered in the naming of Vaughan Avenue, Pennant Hills. He was a tramway officer whose father, George Albert Vaughan had been a Councillor before him from 1928 to 1934.
He presided over the Hornsby Branch of the Lord Mayor's Patriotic and War Fund which raised £17,000 for the care of members of the Australian Services during World War II. This was later incorporated in the Australian Comforts Fund, with branches in most suburbs. Cr Vaughan was also a keen member of the Pennant Hills Bowling Club.DimensionsHornsby Shire Council
