Chapman Avenue, Beecroft, was named after him. He was the sixth President of the Shire and held office before the declaration of residential districts in 1921 and again in 1928 during the formulation of the submissions to the New South Wales Lands Department. One of the new roads dedicated during subsequent subdivision was named after him. He was returned unopposed to C Riding in November 1925 as he had the confidence and respect of the ratepayers at the time. A surveyor by profession he was a member of Council for many years but died suddenly in November 1960.DimensionsHornsby Shire Council
