Frank Robert Ollif was born in England in 1871. He married Blanche Ellen Somerset Jiffkins in 1917 in Sydney. After marrying they moved to Hornsby and built their family home.

Their son, Frank Edward Ollif married a Victorian girl, Lorna Anne Box and in November 1946 they returned to live in Blanche's home at Galston Road. Frank and Lorna Ollif raised their two daughters at the property.

Passers by would often stop to buy their farm fresh strawberries which they sold by the side of the road.

Frank Ollif snr passed away in 1926 and Blanche Ollif passed away in 1948.
