It served as Hornsby's first Court House from 1907 until the brick Court House was completed in 1926. From 1927 it was used by Hornsby Public School. In the 1960s the Council took over the site and in 1970 the hall was transported to Kenley Park, Normanhurst, where it serves as a museum for Hornsby Shire Historical Society.
