DescriptionJacob Dreis was a pioneer of Hornsby who bought land on Peats Ferry Road (corner of Romsey Street) and started on orchard.
He also ran a dairy that supplied milk to the whole district.
Jacob carted charcoal from a sawpit at Hookhams Corner to bakers in Sydney for use in firing their ovens and supplied blacksmiths with charcoal for use in welding.
