DescriptionA view on Peats Ferry Road before kerb and guttering was added, looking south towards the former Hornsby Public School (now TAFE).
The site of Stenefords Motor Service Garage on the left is occupied by Hornsby Locksmith (current 2017) and St. Peter's church is on the right and a confectioner's shop on the corner of Peats Ferry Road and Jersey Lane. In 1928 both businesses were owned by the widow of Ephraim Hook Stenteford (d. 1910). According to Hedley Somerville, children from the old Hornsby Public School (shown on the other side ot the lane) used to buy lunch and treats at the shop.
