DescriptionThis class of locomotive was not suited for curved routes so they were used mainly on straight lines in the North Western parts of NSW. The 27 class locomotives were reduced to scrap metal by 1966, however 2705 was preserved and used on vintage train tours (as can be seen in this photo on No. 4 platform at Hornsby Station) until it was retired to the Thirlmere Museum in the 1970s.Physical FormatHornsbyDimensionsRobert Green Collection
