On this site stood a weatherboard and asbestos cement house from the Federation period. This photo is of the rear (eastern side) of the cottage facing the railway line.
It was rectangular in shape with a hipped corrugated iron roof extending down over the veranda. The veranda was support by five plain timber posts.
Originally this cottage was the property of the Railways Institute being used at one time as a recreation centre for State Railways staff, then later by Legacy House. The cottage was last occupied by Fusion Australian Ltd., an interdenominational group founded in Hornsby.
The cottage was demolished in August 2006 to make way for stabling yards and a 5th platform at Hornsby Station.Physical FormatHornsbyDimensionsRobert Green Collection
