Rex Foster Jones was a popular figure around Berowra. He enlisted in the army in 1916 and returned to Berowra in 1919. In 1925 he opened his boatshed on Berowra Waters, hiring out row boats and in 1927 motor boats. He drowned at Berowra Waters in 1936, aged 40.
