DetailsChristmas card from the Hornsby Shire sanitary collector 1968. In the days before sewerage shire residents would leave some money, a box of handkerchiefs or a bottle of beer for the sanitary collector. The last collection in Sefton Road, Thornleigh was in December 1975 when the sewer was connected.
