DetailsHeadstone of Margaret Friend of 'Windyhaugh', Duffy Avenue, Thornleigh, located in the Presbyterian Section, Macquarie Park Cemetery. Margaret was the daughter of Walter Friend of 'Cintra' Burwood who came to Thornleigh in 1908 and was an active Red Cross worker and President of the Thornleigh - Pennant Hills Red Cross Branch during the First World War. In 1919 she gave a portion of her property in Duffy Avenue to the Presbyterian Fellowship movement.
