Carla Godfrey started learning to dance there in 1947 and later went on to become a dance teacher herself. Carla also trained debutantes for the Masonic Balls held at the Cabaret in the 60s and 70s. Carla was involved with dancing and functions at the Cabaret until it was sold in 1972. Carla then moved the dance studio to premises on the Pacific Highway, Hornsby where she taught until she retired from dancing in 1976.
