'Bruntnel & Bannerman Ltd., held a land sale at Beecroft last Saturday, when they disposed of the whole of the Mountain Air Estate.'
The Daily Telegraph (Sydney, NSW: 1883-1930) Monday 22 October, 1917 p.6
Beecroft and its environs had from its earliest days a reputation for a healthy climate. The elevated district, 450 feet (approx. 137 metres) above sea level at the railway station, was set in generally unspoilt bush, a situation with distinct advantages for health. Early private schools in Beecroft offered a 'healthy climate' in their advertisements as an inducement to enrol. (Beecroft Cheltenham History Group, 1995)
