DescriptionThe land was situated along the Great North Road and was originally owned by George Thomas Hunt, who was born in 1823. By 1885, it was reported that he had 70 acres planted with fruit trees.
In about 1880, Hunt retired to Parramatta, leaving the management of his farming interests to his sons who included John Charles Hunt, who became the first elected president of Hornsby shire and later a member of the State Parliament.
