StreetBarry PlaceSuburbCherrybrookDetailsPatrick Barry had a right-of-way from his 6 acres to New Line Road in the early part of this century when this farming area produced plums, peaches, oranges and mandarins for the city markets. He owned a trucking business which delivered eggs for the Egg Board. In the 1970's the land had been let go wild and was a happy hunting ground for rabbits. His son Henry Barry sold the land to Hookers in the late 1970' and requested the street be named Barry Place in memory of his father. His next door neighbours were Mr and Mrs Kepitis. See Elga Place.
