StreetHillsborough CourtSuburbCherrybrookDetailsDate named 20/01/1999. The subdivision of Lot 102 DP27509 Franklin Road, Cherrybrook has created a new road named Hillsborough Court. Three names having an historical association with the area were offered: Charlotte, Charles and Hillsborough. "Charles" and "Charlotte" were already street names, so Hillsborough won. In 1799 Charles Franklin (b.1774) was transported for 7 years, arriving in the colony in the "Hillsborough". In 1818 a 45 acre grant on Castle Hill Road (one of its boundaries Franklin Road) became his. His wife, Charlotte, who arrived on "the "Experiment" in 1804 and he were free by servitude, as shown in the 1828 Census.
