BiographyJohn Donaldson served as a medical officer in the Australian Naval Expeditionary Force in New Guinea in 1914.
After this force was disbanded, he re-enlisted as a Lieutenant, served in Gallipoli, crossed to France, and was promoted to Captain on 11 May 1916.
