TypeSuburbDetailsThat part of Berowra Creek between Calabash Bay and the ferry. The name probably dates from around 1902 when the road was constructed from Berowra Station to the ferry, thus making the waterway accessible to visitors from Sydney.

In 1930, the name of this area changed from Berowra Creek to Berowra Waters to assist with promoting the area with tourists.

The first business at Berowra Waters was established by Jack Smith who had been a 'waterman' on Sydney Harbour. He arrived at Berowra Creek in the 1890s and set up his operation in Franks Bight with the vision of making the area a major tourist destination. He built his boat shed and was operating by 1898, successfully marketing the area as an excellent fishing location.
