StreetWylds RoadSuburbArcadiaDetailsWylds Road, the main link between Arcadia and the Old Northern Road, was named after its first inhabitant, Isaac Wylds. In approximately 1889 Isaac erected a pise house with walls built of rammed earth and bush saplings. The bricks to build the 1891 Galston Public School were made at Glenorie and transported to the site by Fred Black via Wylds Road. The road later fell into disuse and remained desolate for over 30 years when reconstruction resulted in major alteration in its location.
