DescriptionThe St. David's Presbyterian Church was opened on 12 November 1921 and the property was sold on 14 September 1984 for $72,500 due to it being excess to the Uniting Church's needs following the formation of the Uniting Church in Australia in 1977.
The last Minister Rev. Versloot said: "...I am very sad to see the church go but with the formation of the Uniting Church we had a surplus of buildings and it was decided we would worship at the former Methodist Church in Baldwin Avenue."
The church building was demolished in 1984 and a private residence built on the land.
Following the decision by Hornsby Shire Council to re-zone the section of Peats Ferry Road from Lodge Street northwards to the Asquith Shopping centre and beyond, the 21 year old private residence was sold for $1,960,000 and demolished in 2015. A developer subsequently purchased the two adjoining properties and excavated the three sites (numbers 333-337 Peats Ferry Road) and constructed a 5 storey apartment complex, including three storeys of underground parking. Construction was completed in November 2017 and consisted of 82 units.
