StreetBeecroft RoadSuburbBeecroftDetailsThe Minister for Lands, Sir Henry Copeland gave the name "Beecroft" to the area when the 1886 Northern Railway Line was put through. "Beecroft" was the maiden name of his wife, Hannah. An act of Parliament in 1874 set the area aside for residential development.
