StreetBlackwood CloseSuburbBeecroftDetailsLudovic Blackwood purchased land in March 1904 on the western side of Beecroft Road just south of its junction with Park Road. He purchased adjoining pieces of land and built his house "Marabar", now named "Blackwood House" in 1908. The house was classified by the National Trust in 1979. Blackwood Close was formed by a subdivision of some of the land owned by the Blackwood family.
