StreetBoronia AvenueSuburbBeecroftDetailsBoronia was a popular Australian wildflower during Federation. The name commemorates the Italian botanist, Francesco Borone (1769-1794). There are more than 50 species of this Australian native shrub. The road "Boronia Ave" was gazetted in 1894 and the name was in use by 1903.
