StreetKenwick LaneSuburbBeecroftDetailsKen Brown and Wickham Beaston blended their given names to create "KENWICK" when they developed their land. Their wives Billie Brown and Joan Beaston were potters and felt there was a need for local artists to have a gallery in which to display their work, the result being the "Kenwick Galleries" in about 1969. The gallery began above Sparks shoe store.
