StreetMurray RoadSuburbBeecroftDetailsNamed for Andrew Murray (1793-1858) who was granted 230 acres in 1823 at Pennant Hills in what is now west Beecroft. An 1887 Lands Department map shows Murray Road crossed Devlin's Creek and Castle Howard Road continuing across the west Beecroft grant. Murray Road was first used in 1882. Murray Road was shown on the 1882 Murray's Estate subdivision plan. The section west of Devlins Creek later became Murray Farm Road.
