Kinross in Warne Street Pennant Hills was a three-bed cottage hospital run by Nurse Drennan which begun in 1918. In 1924 Nurse Drennan left the hospital and enrolled in a year-long diploma course at Crown Street Women's Hospital. Nurse Bellamy ran the hospital in her absence. Sister Drennan returned after having completed the diploma course and the hospital operated until the early 1940s.
Flora Drennan was a popular and respected member of the community. She was recognised as a gifted sprinter as she had completed successfully in many sporting events. In April 1926 she won the ladies' 100 yards sprint at the West Pennant Hills Sports Club Competition.
