PhotographerRobert GreenDescriptionWhen the Asquith Community Centre hall was opened in 1959 it served a dual role being used for the Boys' Club and as a community centre. The Hornsby Shire Council granted a loan and after much hard work by the Boys' club members sufficient money was raised from donations for the building to be erected. This was done voluntarily by members and a few sub-contracts. Council agreed to allocate £2,000 for the completion of the Centre subject to an agreement to repay the amount over 5 years.
Adjoining netball courts were added in 1973
The Jack and Jill also used the premises up until 1984. In 1985 Council considered removing the building however this was not pursued.
In February 2017 Hornsby Council announced approval of a redevelopment of the Community Centre at 12 Old Berowra Road.
