DescriptionPeter Waite was a Hornsby Shire Councillor from 1980-1987.
He was already well known for his community service long before entering the council. His major contribution over the years has been with the scouting movement.
He also served as the president of the Rotary Club of Pennant Hills. He has also been a significant supporter and advocate for Hornsby Hospital.
For his efforts on behalf of the community, he was awarded the Order of Australia Medl in 1995.
