Leask's Timber Yard was originally on the corner of Jersey Street and Bridge Road, Hornsby, NSW. Edwin Leask was a Timber Merchant in Hornsby during the 1940s, running his business from the same premises as the old George Lumby's hardware and building supply business. By 1952 Leask had moved the business to Waitara. He also opened other branches in Parramatta and Ettalong. By 1957 the Kauri Timber Company had bought out the business.
