DescriptionOn Wednesday 13th September 2000, the Olympic Torch arrived at Pennant Hills Park where a festival was held to celebrate. It was the largest community celebration that Hornsby Shire Council residents have ever experienced, with an estimated 60 000 people gathered for the flame's arrival.
Some of the day's highlights included community entertainment, market stalls, an international food fair, street performers and childrens rides.
The day climaxed with three times Olympian, Matthew Dunn, carrying the Olympic Flame through the Torch bearer's corridor and onto the main stage where he lit our own Community Cauldron.Physical FormatPennant Hills
