DescriptionIn the late 1920s Frank Pontey moved to Berowra after he married Berowra girl Betty Chappell. He established the village’s first bakery along Park Road, which today is the site where Berowra Car Care operates. It was called Pontey’s Bakery and was welcomed by the locals being a quick success.
In the mid-1930s the delivery horse and cart (see photo) were replaced with a motor vehicle. Then in 1937 Frank Pontey sold out to Arthur Kerslake.Physical FormatBerowra
