C.J. Turner was an enterprising man, today we would perhaps say entrepreneurial. Turner Road, Berowra Heights is named after him.
Turner promoted Berowra during the 1930s, as a principal tourist destination which was endorsed at a time by the Government Tourist Bureau. Berowra with its clean mountain air, extensive bushland and pristine waters became a utopian paradise for people escaping the drudgery of the working week. Berowra House and the Laurel's Guest House offered excellent accommodation attracting people far and wide to enjoy the fresh mountain air and the abundant swimming holes nestled within the bushland.Physical FormatBerowraDimensionsBerowra Living History
