It was reported that over 70mm of rain fell over Berowra and Berowra Heights in just over an hour with the large hail and torrential rain causing much damage to cars, houses and commercial buildings in the area. Berowra Village Shopping Centre received considerable damage during the storm with many of the shops having to close for a week to undertake repairs.
Flash flooding occurred and the power was cut for many hours.
