DetailsIt has been difficult to find details relating to a flour mill but Dun’s Gazette on March 10 1933 mentions that The Northern Milling Company on the Railway Goods Yard Thornleigh is a cereal gristing mill and produce merchant. The Proprietors are Robert S and Edgar Thompson. An advertisement in the SMH on 27/4/34 advertises that five thousand pounds in Shares is needed to acquire the business and plant known as the Northern Milling Company to carry on the business of millers, flour merchants, bakers etc.
