BiographyGeorge Dale was born in Glenorie.
He enlisted on 6 March 1916 and was shot in the chest or head going through no mans land and died instantaneously.
He had previously been wounded at the Battle of Messines in June 1917 and was promoted to Corporal on 19 January 1918.
His two brothers both served and returned to Australia.
