DetailsA popular pastime for visitors to the area was picnicking, and it remains so today. Many came to Berowra for family picnics as part of fishing or camping trips, but others organised specific community or social group picnics to the area. Children’s picnics were also common amongst school and church groups as a day’s outing. A community hike to Berowra with a picnic luncheon enjoyed when the destination of Berowra Waters had been reached was also a customary feature.
