Scouts NSW has owned that property block containing the buildings since 1944, 1 block immediately west of the buildings since 1942, and the 3rd one west of that since 1937. The 3 blocks are known as the "Frank Windeyer Memorial Scout Camp". Frank was a Captain in the 2/17th Battalion, and died at Tobruk 27th October 1941. His father WA Windeyer paid for the second block of land, on condition of the camp naming. Source: C. Jessup
