Cinema was held in the Pacific Cabaret which was built in 1934 on the site of an orchard adjacent to the RSL. It hosted dances, concerts, picture shows, and boxing.
It was converted into a restaurant in 1972 and a skating rink in 1975, closing in 1979 and being demolished in the early 1980s.
