It has dichromatic face brick walls, slate roof with exposed rafters, diagonal plan arrangement with inglenook at veranda return, fine decorative wood panels to verandah, paired posts above sandstone piers and a shingled window hood below patterned roughcast gable It also has leadlight casement windows and the original door with side panels and lights. At the time of construction the house had a brick fence with wrought iron on top.
