AR 55 19.6.79.; Copyright held by the Public Transport Commission of New South Wales.; On June 21st 1887 a special train of holidaymakerss celebrating the Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee ran out of control down the Cowan bank. When the train reached the bottom at Hawkesbury River station the engine slid down the embankment and landed in the river. 6 Passengers were killed 70 were injured.
