StreetQuarter Sessions RoadSuburbWestleighDetailsQuarter Sessions Road is a long road with Thornleigh West Public School at one end and the Berowra Valley National Park at the other. In the early days, not all roads and properties within Hornsby Shire were accessible by public road, especially those trapped on the wrong side of a large grant of land. However, the law made provision for such eventualities under the Real Property Act. Courts of Petty Sessions were empowered to authorise twenty foot wide access lanes for applicants who sought a right of way to legally occupied properties. Roads authorised in this fashion were called Quarter Sessions Roads.
