Eccleston Du Faur (1932-1915), the Managing Trustee, is standing at the rail. In 1889 Du Faur moved to a house he had built in Warrawee called "Pibrac" and began campaigning for the surrounding bushland to be declared a national park. This was achieved in 1894 with the approval of the Minister for Lands, Henry Copeland, who suggested the name Ku-ring-gai Chase reflecting the fact the area's history as a hunting and fishing ground of the local Aborigines.
