John and Catherine were both born in Scotland. John in 1882 and Catherine in 1876. They married in Lerwick, Shetland, Scotland in 1907 and had five children during their marriage.
John passed away in 1939 and Catherine passed away in 1954. Both are buried in Manly Cemetery.
One of their sons, Cecil, was an orchardists from Canoelands Road.
