DetailsThis four page leaflet listed the holiday activities for the NPWS North Metropolitan District in January 1989. These activities were run by paid seasonal rangers, three at that time; Meri Oakwood, Helen Byrne and Neil...Most of the walks required phone bookings beforehand. On rainy days we would wait at the allotted track-head to see if any walkers were attending. Some of the bushwalks included lighting a fire, making billy tea and warming pre-made damper to share at the end of the walk. The activities were well received by the attendees who were usually enthusiastic and very interested in the flora, fauna and cultural history of the places that we walked or paddled.
