DetailsWestfield Hornsby opened its doors in 1961. The centre consisted of McDowell's Department Store, Snows Department Store, Nock & Kirby Hardware and 22 specialty stores.
The centre was refurbished in 1968 which saw the centre expand to 64 specialty stores, and again in 1976, resulting in 89 specialty stores.
Work began in November 1999 to demolish the Westfield Shopping Centre followed by the partial closure and demolition of the Northgate Shopping Centre in January 2000.
