DetailsThe Somerville Sack Sprint was an annual event to raise money for the Hornsby and Kuring-gai Hospital.
This photograph shows some of the starters line up in front of the Railway Hotel in Coronation Street. They carried 50kg sacks of produce from the Hotel up to the Produce Store in Jersey Street, then back to the finish line at the Hotel.
