Large crowds attended to see the train at both Hornsby and Hawkesbury River Stations where it travelled with its passengers. A plaque was unveiled to mark the occasion with representatives from the State Rail Authority, Harry Edwards, MP for Berowra, Neil Pickard, MLA for Hornsby and former Hornsby Shire President, Ron Payne attending, just to name a few.

These images were taken as a recording of the day of celebrations.
