TypeOtherDetailsThis book is based on ten interviews with Aboriginal people who have lived or worked in the general area of Hornsby Shire. it was initiated by a local reconciliation group, Hornsby Area Residents for Reconciliation (HARR). Interviews were funded by the New South Wales Reconciliation Council with the book part-funded by a grant from Hornsby Shire Council and by the New South Wales Reconciliation Council. The interviews were conducted by a non-Indigenous professional historian, Dr Annette Salt.
This work was not intended to be a history of the Aboriginal people of Hornsby Shire, but an effort to record and preserve the stories of Aboriginal people in the area and to help others understand their journey through direct access to their voices.
